With Bee-IRON STP signaling transfer point, operators can interconnect quickly, in a standard hardware and software environment, all combinations of SS7 and SIGTRAN-based services, neither incurring the cost of additional platforms nor the need for complex network topology changes.
Signaling transfert point (Bee-IRON STP)
Bee-IRON STP can act both as a:
- front end for application servers (ASP or IPSP - application or internet protocol server process) while incorporating advanced features such as traffic load-balancing, intelligent routing and filtering; these features provide a high degree of flexibility to route the traffic between SS7 and SIGTRAN,
- signaling gateway (SG) providing the basic STP routing features needed to interoperate with core-network STPs, and adding full connectivity towards the SIGTRAN world.
