DDN chief operating officerErwan Menard joined DataDirect Networks (DDN) in May 2011, bringing to the company more than 15 years of experience in international and general corporate management. DDN was named in 2011 America's fastest growing $100+M computer company by Inc. Magazine, establishing itself as the data storage leader serving the most intense big data applications.
Most recently, Erwan was the vice-president and general manager of Hewlett-Packard's Communications and Media Solutions unit, overseeing several hundred million dollars of annual revenue and managing a 2,500 global team chartered with the design and delivery of services-rich and software-rich industry solutions. In this role, Erwan held complete business management and revenue accountability, managing sales, consulting & services, product & solutions portfolio management, marketing, strategy, R&D and support.
Prior to HP, Erwan held a variety of executive leadership roles, including president of Global Support at Alcatel-Lucent Convergence Business Group, as well as VP North America for Alcatel's Mobile Communications Group. As an international business executive, Erwan has taken permanent assignments in USA, Malaysia, France and Belgium during his career. Erwan was recognized in 2009, 2010 and 2011 by Global Telecom Business as one of the Forty under Forty industry leaders. He holds a Master's/Engineering degree from Telecom Sud-Paris, the National Institute for Telecommunications in France. Erwan lives in the Silicon Valley with his wife and 3 kids, dedicating most of his leisure time to the ocean, as a passionate sailor.
