head of BuzzinbeesJean-René founded Buzzinbees in 2009 with the vision to improve the well-being of the world by making communications simple. Buzzinbees provides equipment and software vendors with software that enables operators to make communication simple while making the most of their networks.
Prior to heading Buzzinbees, JR was vice-president and general manager of the OpenCall Business Unit - now Communications and Media Solutions - at Hewlett-Packard Company, reporting to senior vice-president Tom Hogan. He had overall business accountability for OpenCall, including sales, marketing, new product planning, supply chain, R&D and support. Under his leadership, this unit profitably grew from single to high triple digit millions of dollars of annual revenue.
Prior to holding this position he was general manager of Hewlett-Packard's Telecom Infrastructure Division, which he helped create in 1992.
Jean-René joined HP in 1984 as a development engineer for IT France, then he worked for the Business Networks Division in Cupertino, California. He subsequently held positions in marketing and R&D, first as a consultant at the European Network Technology Center in Milan, Italy, where he devised messaging and directory systems, followed by the Industry Networks Division and Telecommunications Systems Business Unit in Grenoble, France. In 1993, JR became R&D manager for the Telecommunications Networks Division where he was responsible for the development of HP's OpenCall product family.
JR holds a master of science from the Ecole Centrale Paris and is a graduate of the INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
JR is married with two children and currently lives near Grenoble in the heart of the Alps. He likes skiing, hiking and is fond of music.
